Incredible, generous people have rallied around a 20-year-old who thought he lost everything after being kicked out of his home by his religious parents.
This week Daniel Ashley-Pierce, from Kennesaw, Georgia captured a candid video of his parents disowning him.
'Since you have chosen that path, we will not support you any longer,' his mother is heard saying.
'You will need to move out and find wherever you can to live and do you want to. I will not let people believe I condone what you do.'
With it then escalating into an argument, Ashley-Pierce can be heard being called a 'piece of shit' and 'damned queer' before he is hit several times.
When GSN reported on the video yesterday, it had around 200,000 views. The video has now got over 1.8 million hits at the time of publishing.
Not only that, a GoFundMe page was set up to help this 20-year-old start his life over.
It has now raised an incredible $47, 783 (€36,267). This was raised by 1,819 people in one day.
Just one of the comments left on the page says: 'Daniel your courage is inspiring beyond belief.
'You are truly amazing to have stood up in the face of such indignation and held to who you know you are.
'I truly hope you can find peace and happiness with those that will accept you for who you are, and they will love you and that you will know that you do matter, you're not a disgrace and most of all you're not alone.'
Ashley-Pierce has responded to the generosity, saying he is 'in tears'.
'I didn't realize that this was even set up for me!' he said.
'I don't even know how to thank y'all! I wish I could give each and everyone of you a huge hug! I was trying to respond to everyone but I couldn't keep up!! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! This is all just so amazing!!!
'Thank You from the bottom of my heart!!'
