Obama: Too Early to Send Experimental Ebola Drug to Africa

Us President Barack Obama said it was too soon to send experimental drugs for the treatment of Ebola to West Africa, which has been hardest hit by the deadly outbreak.
Obama on Wednesday said affected countries should instead focus on building a "strong public infrastructure," adding: "I think we have to let the science guide us. And I don't think all the information is in on whether this drug is helpful."
The decision to use an experimental drug to treat two Americans infected with Ebola, while nearly 1,000 Africans have already died from the deadly epidemic, has sparked controversy.

Spanish Priest with Ebola Dies in Madrid Hospital

A Spanish missionary priest being treated for Ebola died on Tuesday in a Madrid hospital amid a worldwide ethical debate over who should get an experimental Ebola drug. Spain's Health Ministry said Monday it had obtained a course of the US-made experimental Ebola drug ZMapp to treat Father Miguel Pajares, 75.Pajares died Tuesday at Carlos III Hospital, the hospital and his order said.

Seven Bank Workers Empty ATM, Siphon off N2.5M Pension, Gratuity of a Sick Pensioner

Security forces have seven members of staff of a first-generation bank in Barakin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State for allegedly defrauding the bank and customers of N14 million.

According to reports from Daily Sun, the workers opened the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of the bank and made away with undisclosed amount and at the same time, engaged in illegal withdrawals from the accounts of unsuspecting customers.
