Bird Who Turned Into Woman At Oshodi Dies

Nigerian media social commentary was engaged with the story of a bird that transformed into a middle-aged woman at Cappa bus stop in Oshodi.


Latest reports say she is dead.

Eyewitness accounts say the woman, in the form of a bird, had fallen from an electric cable, and confessed to be a witch. The woman had been beaten by the crowd, and was unconscious when the police came to take her to the hospital.

PRO for the Lagos Police, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirming the death, said: “Eyewitnesses said there was a bird which fell down and turned into a woman. So, a large crowd gathered round her. She was not attacked. Eventually, when the police got there, they rescued the woman from the surging crowd. But unfortunately, she died, and her body has been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital’s morgue.”
