Corpse From Liberia Throws Anambra Into Confusion! Govt. Seals Hospital.
A corpse
of an Anambra State indigene brought from Liberia, yesterday, caused scare of
the dreaded Ebola disease in the state, with officials of the state ministry of
health directing security operatives to cordon off the mortuary where the body
was deposited pending investigations by experts from the Federal Ministry of
Health.
The
corpse was brought into the country as a cargo and was taken straight to Apex
Hospital and Mortuary at Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of the
state, apparently by his relations and waiting for burial.
Islamic Cleric Nabbed For Using New Baby’s Placenta For Rituals
An
Islamic cleric in Ilorin simply known as Alfa Gani has been arrested by the
police for trying to use a new baby he just christened placenta for rituals.
Alfa Gani
would have succeeded if not for the youths of the community who were sent out
to go round the community to ask for contribution for the repair of their
faulty transformer.

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 39-year old motorcycle
parts dealer, Ogbodo Chibuzor David for trying to smuggle 11.06kg of dried
weeds that tested positive for cannabis to China.
The
suspect who concealed the drugs in various food items was arrested following the
discovery of cannabis inside his bags at the Murtala Muhammed International
Airport, Lagos when he was about to board a Qatar Airline flight.

Leone’s top Ebola doctor, Sheikh Umar Khan on Tuesday died from complications of the disease. His death
came just days after three nurses who worked with him perished.
Khan served on the front lines of what is now
considered the worst Ebola outbreak in history, with 670 dead, primarily in
West Africa. He is credited with treating more than 100 victims and has
previously been hailed as a national hero. Now, hundreds of condolences are
pouring in on Twitter, praising his courage and altruism.
