Former Bayern Munich player Miroslav Klose has claimed that Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is someone very difficult to please.

Both men worked together at Bayern but it ended in the all-time World Cup leading scorer departing the Die Roten.

Klose reflecting back on some of his playing time,picked out working under Van Gaal as the most difficult.

“It was a tough time, particularly working with Van Gaal,” Klose told Germany’s Die Zeit newspaper.

“I didn’t feel free. It was very difficult for me to fulfil his expectations. He was asking me to make runs I just couldn’t see. I didn’t feel free. It was very difficult for me to fulfil his expectations. He was asking me to make runs I just couldn’t see.”

Van Gaal has a reputation of being an autocratic figure with his teams,with many questioning his dictatorial style of coaching.

The 63-year old Dutchman has struggled to get off to a flying start at United, losing two and drawing one of his three opening games.
