Maya Angelou was gratified, but not surprised by her extraordinary fortune.

"I'm not modest," she told The Associated Press in 2013. "I have no modesty. Modesty is a learned behavior. But I do pray for humility, because humility comes from the inside out."

Pakistan woman stoned to death by family for marrying man she loved

A 25-year-old woman was stoned to death by her family outside one of Pakistan's top courts on Tuesday in a so-called "honor" killing for marrying the man she loved, police said. After a review of court filings on the case by a Los Angeles judge, Cyrus was awarded a temporary restraining order against an Arizona man who says he will not stop until he meets Cyrus.
