Manchester United needs three years to hit heights - Van Gaal

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal, feels that it might take them up to three years to really hit the heights where they ought to be.

United are currently languishing in tenth position on the league table, and have just been able to get 13 points in 10 matches so far.

And Van Gaal did admit that they have not been good enough, adding that it is a gradual process.

"It's not good enough," Van Gaal said on their performances. "But on the other hand, we are in a process, as I have said from the beginning.

"The process shall take more than one year; it shall take three years."

"I feel for the fans in the first place and the board because they have a great belief in me, my staff and my players," he added.
