Patrick Sawyer Deceived Us, ECOWAS To Travel To Nigeria -Liberian Minister

Patrick Sawyer, the late Liberian-American, who brought the deadly Ebola virus to Nigeria, deceived and manipulated the Liberian government and the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, to enable him travel to Nigeria, an official, who admitted approving Mr. Sawyer’s travel, has said.

Ebola: ECOWAS Announces Death Of Nigerian-Official In Lagos

The ECOWAS Commission has announced the passing away of a staff member of its Lagos Liaison Office, Mr. Jatto Asihu Abdulqudir, aged 36. Mr. Abdulqudir, a Protocol Assistant, was among those who assisted the Liberian delegate to a regional meeting Mr. Patrick Sawyer, who died from the Ebola Virus Disease at a Lagos hospital on 25th July 2014.

Following the death of Mr Sawyer, Mr. Abdulqudir was also isolated. They also sympathize with Mr. Abdulqudir’s family and prayed for the repose of his soul.

Man Kills Mother Because He Believes She’s A Witch

A 29-year-old man, Ekene Ucheagwu, who believes his mother is a witch, who used her witchcraft to block the progress of her surviving four children has killed the 65-year old woman in Anambra State. He also accused her for not letting any of them get married including his 45-year old brother and his elder sisters.

Ekene told policemen that even though he regrets his action now, they will all know he did the right thing when the kingdom of God comes. Here’s how the cobbler narrated how he managed to kill her;

“I decided to kill her because she did not allow the spirit of God to come into our family. Once she cursed anybody, that person will never progress and she was doing it to my brothers and sisters very often. I am the only one among her six children (two later died) that knew her secrets.

Ebola Scare: Drama As Nurses, Doctors Flee Patient With Ebola Symptom At Orile -Agege General Hospital

There was pandemonium on Tuesday at the Orile-Agege General Hospital, Agege area of Lagos, southwest Nigeria, when a patient presented with the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, was brought to the hospital.

It was gathered that the patient, who was brought into the hospital in the morning, was bleeding all over his body and health workers such as nurses, doctors and other patients in the hospital fled from him.

It was gathered that the patient had come to the hospital last week complaining of fever, but that he later re-appeared on Tuesday with blood coming out from his body.

Brazilian Presidential Candidate Eduardo Campos Dies in Plane Crash

Eduardo Campos, the Brazilian Socialist Party candidate for president in October's elections, was killed Wednesday after the private jet in which he was traveling plowed into a residential district of the coastal city of Santos.

Officials said the plane's landing in Santos was aborted during poor weather and the pilot had been attempting to change course.

Obama: Too Early to Send Experimental Ebola Drug to Africa

Us President Barack Obama said it was too soon to send experimental drugs for the treatment of Ebola to West Africa, which has been hardest hit by the deadly outbreak.
Obama on Wednesday said affected countries should instead focus on building a "strong public infrastructure," adding: "I think we have to let the science guide us. And I don't think all the information is in on whether this drug is helpful."
The decision to use an experimental drug to treat two Americans infected with Ebola, while nearly 1,000 Africans have already died from the deadly epidemic, has sparked controversy.
