Doctor Who Treated Liberian Sawyer Tests Positive To Ebola Virus

A Lagos doctor who treated the Liberian man that died few days ago of Ebola Virus has tested positive to the Virus, Nigeria’s Minister of Health said on Monday.

The minister broke the news on Monday during the inauguration of a treatment research group for Ebola in Nigeria .

According to the Minister, 70 people are now placed under surveillance while eight people would be quarantined on Monday for developing symptoms of the disease.

Police Say FG Not Responsible For Attack On Buhari

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Sulieman Abba, has dismissed allegations that the Federal Government was involved in the bomb attack on General Mohammed Buhari.

General Buhari escaped a bomb attack unhurt on July 23.

Mr Abba told a news conference in Abuja on Monday that preliminary reports of investigation indicated that the claims were untrue.

The Inspector-General promised to make public the outcome of the investigations as soon as it is done.

Lagos Govt. Warns TB Joshua not to accept Ebola victims in his church

The Lagos state government has warned pastor TB Joshua of Synagogue Church of All Nations not to accept Ebola victims if they come to him for healing.

According to The Nation officials of Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Federal Government, led by the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, visited him seeking his cooperation in ensuring victims of the deadly virus are not brought to his church for healing. Synagogue is a popular destination for sick people who go there for divine healing.
