Tribune reports exclusively that a Nigerian musician based in the United States has revealed to them that a doctor has told him Kefee needs a miracle to survive. According to the source, the doctor said, the chances of Kefee getting out of coma are slim as her situation not only requires prayers for survival, but also a miracle as she has been diagnosed of having high blood pressure.

I Will Develop Ekiti State If Fayose Wins- President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has said he will ensure the development of Ekiti State if the people of the state vote in the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Mr. Ayo Fayose, Punch reports.

Jonathan spoke on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti after Fayose received the official flag from the national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu.

The immediate past governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank, Lamido Sanusi, has been named the new emir of the powerful Kano emirate, to succeed late Ado Bayero who died on Friday.
Mr. Sanusi’s appointment was announced Sunday by the secretary to the Kano state government, Suleiman Bichi.

UNILAG students shut down campus in protest for hike in registration fee

There is a protest currently going on at the University of Lagos. Students are protesting UNILAG authority demanding that some students pay N20,000 for late editing or registration of Course Forms.

The students first converged at the University's Senate Building where they shouted slogans and sang protest songs, demanding that the school ends this form of exploitation today, while accusing their VC of corruption. They left the senate building and went on a rampage through all the faculties in UNILAG demanding their rights.

Explosion Rocks Gombe Governor’s Residence

The private house of the Governor of Gombe State yesterday was bombed. The house which also serves as his official residence was bombed when a police Armored Personnel Carrier stationed in front of his house was targeted.

Two soldiers were killed in the bomb blast, and six were injured.
