Police say calm has returned to
Wukari town in Taraba State hours after gunmen laid siege on the town.
Residents had been appealing to
security forces to come to their rescue as they were being held hostage by the
gunmen.

Secondary School, Chibok, Asabe Kwambura, has said the military lied when they
said they had rescued almost all the girls, excluding 8 who were kidnapped on
Monday by suspected Boko Haram sect members from the school premises.

The Police Public Relations officer,
ASP, Jospeh Kwaji attributed the violence to reprisal attacks by youths in the
town, following alleged incessant raids by suspected Herdsmen from surrounding
villages.

on Channels TV, suspected Fulani herdsmen are currently attacking Wukari
village in Taraba state. Eyewitness reports has it that about 15 people have
been killed but police officials say its only 7 that are reported dead. Reports
