Nollywood Actor,Ogunjimi Arrested After Raping His Daughter’s Friend

A popular Yoruba actor, Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi in Nollywood has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping one of his daughter’s friends at Osogbo, his home town.
The Yoruba actor, known for violent roles in Yoruba films was arrested last Tuesday by the Police and detained at the Oke-Baale division of the Nigeria Police, after the victim had reported him.
According to a competent Police source, the actor had been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) of the state police command for further interrogation on the matter.
After medical experts examined the victim on the directives of the police, their report proved that Ogunjimi forcibly had carnal knowledge of the 22 year old girl (name withheld).
Sources said the victim and her mother who was allegedly victimized out of her matrimonial home were living with Ogunjimi at his Osogbo residence and he was responsible for their upkeep until recently.
Sunday Sun gathered that the victim’s mother had left her with Ogunjimi in Osogbo and relocated to Lagos.
It was gathered that after the rape, the victim reported the incident to the police alongside some residents of the area.
A senior police officer at the Oke Bale Police Division where Ogunjimi was taken after his arrest confided inSunday Sunthat the Divisional Police Officer (DPO),transferred the case to the SCID when due to pressure being mounted on him by influential people to release the suspect.
Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Folashade Odoro who confirmed that the case had been reported to the police, also confirmed that the popular Yoruba actor was being detained at the SCID, Osogbo.

Gunmen Kill Commissioner In Zamfara

A commissioner with Zamfara state local government service commission, Alhaji Yusif Garba, was shot dead by three unidentified gunmen near his residence at Ungwar Zabarma of Tudun Wada area of the state capital, Gusau, on March 14, 2014, Friday. The suspects escaped immediately after the murder without robbing money from the victim.
It has been gathered that the assassins came to the residence of the deceased at about 9 pm, riding a motorcycle, and asked somebody they met at the main entrance to notify the host that some guests have arrived to see him outside.
When he unsuspecting victim came out of the house, one of the gunmen told him that they were armed robbers and that he should bring out money to save his life, while the other two went inside the residence and pressured his wife to give out gold items.
When they could not get anything from the victims, one of the gunmen shot the commissioner in the chest, while another shot him in the lower abdomen.
The neighbours were allegedly so scared by the sound of the gunshots that no one dared to help.
The killers escaped to an unknown direction.
The Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Yari Abubakar, paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased. He stated that “no one’s safety is guaranteed” due to Nigeria’s prevailing insecurity. The governor also expressed concern that the current situation it could be a serious threat to the survival of the Nigerian society.

Delta State House Of Assembly Speaker, Victor Ochei Resigns

Reports reaching us say the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Victor Ochei may have resigned Sunday, as Speaker of the House of Assembly.
It is alleged that Mr. Ochei’s resignation is connected to his governorship ambition in the state ahead of the forth-coming general elections.
The Speaker represented the Aniocha North constituency in the state Assembly..
Sources at the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, say confirmed that the speaker has tendered his resignation letter, although no official statement has been issued.
It is however alleged that the emergency resignation by the speaker is as a result of an impeachment notice against him by members of the assembly pending the resumption of sitting on Tuesday.
Actual reasons for the resignation and purported impeachment threats were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.

Four Pregnant women, 15 Others Die at Immigration Recruitment

A recruitment drive by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Saturday, ended in death, tears and sorrow for many at most of the centers across the country.
In all 19 people died: three pregnant women in Benin, eight applicants made up of six women and two men in Abuja, three in Minna and five in Port Harcourt including a pregnant woman.
Dozens of others were injured in stampedes as the applicants struggled to position themselves at the recruitment centers.
The ruling PDP last night expressed sympathies with the families of the dead.
Those in Calabar were flogged by security men brought in to control the sea of heads that turned up for the aptitude test.
The situation at the National Stadium, Abuja which served as the Federal Capital Territory centre was particularly rowdy.
About 70,000 turned up for the test.
About 50 of them including pregnant women were injured in the stampede that ensued as the applicants tried to gain entry into the main bowl of the stadium through only one point.

TB Joshua Reveals Yet Another One! Missing Malaysian Plane Is Deep Inside The Sea

Prophet TB Joshua has said the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 which left Kuala Lumpur for Beijing on Saturday, and has been declared missing is deep down in the sea. The prophet said all the 239 people on board and crew members are all dead. Here is how he made the revelation;
''The plane concerned is deep inside the sea. Some of the particles will be seen on the surface of the sea any moment from now.
May their souls rest in peace; we pray the Lord gives the family and loved ones the strength to bear the loss. Our prayer and love are always with them, the nation of Malaysia and other countries that had passengers on this flight''.
