Jonathan swears in Shekarau as Nigeria’s Education Minister

President Goodluck Jonathan has sworn-in the four new ministers, who were cleared by the National Assembly.
They include Ibrahim Shekarau, Stephen Oru, Adedayo Adeyeye and Abdul Bulama.
Mr. Shekarau, a former Kano State governor, decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Shortly after swearing them in, the President announced their portfolio and also announced a minor rearrangement in the current cabinet.
The President announced Mr. Shekarau as the new Education Minister; Mr. Adeyeye was named Minister of State for Works; Mr. Oru, Minister of Niger Delta; and Mr. Bulama, Minister of Science and Technology.
Mr. Jonathan also announced that the current Minister of Works, Bashir Yuguda, will now be the Minster of State for Finance and substantive Minister of National Planning.

Dutch coach Louis van Gaal confirmed on the eve of the game in Sao Paulo that his star striker, who has scored three goals in Brazil, is a serious doubt for the last-four clash.
Asked if the 30-year-old will, play, Van Gaal said: "He has a stomach problem, an intestinal problem. I don't know.
"I will decide. Van Persie is our captain so he is very important to us. In principle my captain always plays, but he has to be fit."

“Yes we want the Nigerian government to release our members. As our leader Abubakar Shekau promised to the media, if today the government releases our members, tomorrow or the next day we promise you can see all of them (the girls) sure. Two planes almost collide on runway at Barcelona airport caught on video

Two planes nearly collided on a runway in Barcelona, Spain has been captured on camera. The incident, which happened on Saturday, shows a plane crossing a runway as another plane is coming in for a landing and had to abort just seconds before touching down, with the pilot carrying out an emergency 'go-around' procedure.
